Preschool Development Planning Grant Evaluation

In 2023, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) was awarded a federal Preschool Development Planning Grant (Birth to 5). The grant supported statewide early childhood planning activities such as updating needs assessments and strategic plans, integrating early childhood workforce data, eliciting family voices on aspects of the early childhood system, and supporting identification and service provision for English Learners and students with disabilities. IWERC served as the formative evaluator of this planning grant. Public products from this evaluation are shared below, after approval by ISBE.
